Summer on the Square: Larimer Square 2018 Summer Events
With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner, we’re ready to kick off summer fun on Larimer Square. Signature events this summer include the 16th annual Denver Chalk Art Festival in June. This festival is a free, two-day street painting festival where more than 200 artists spend hours turning Larimer Square into a museum of chalk art. Additionally, we have three Dining Al Fresco evenings scheduled thoughout the summer months. For three magical evenings, the region’s most-celebrated chefs serve guests outdoors on the blocked-off street under Larimer Square’s canopy of lights. Also, there’s also the highly-anticipated second Slow Food Nations, which will take place entirely on Larimer Square for the first time. Finally, our annual sidewalk sale where savvy shoppers can get up to 75% off of designer clothing and more.

First, Larimer Square will kick off the summer with the annual Denver Chalk Art Festival, a free two-day street-painting festival. Perfect for the entire family, hundreds of artists spend hours turning the streets of Larimer Square into a museum of beautiful chalk art. The interactive art festival takes place on June 2-3, 2018 on Larimer Square in Denver.

Second in the lineup is Slow Food Nations: A festival of flavor, culture, and exploration. Slow Food Nations will take over Larimer Square and offer an open-air Taste Marketplace, outdoor street café, globally-recognized speakers, workshops and family fun. Guests will connect with farmers, artisans, chefs and food lovers.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for another unique food event, we invite you to join the award-winning chefs and restaurants of Larimer Square for three nights of Dining Al Fresco as they extend their dining rooms onto the street for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Larimer Square was named one of USA Today’s Top 10 Dining Al Fresco Neighborhoods in the United States. With happy hour festivities, dinner, and an evening under the stars, Dining Al Fresco is one of the city’s best summer scenes. Reservations are required and are available through participating restaurants.
