Tamayo’s Bottomless Margarita Brunch is not your traditional brunch. Every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 to 2:30, Tamayo goes above and beyond offering guests unlimited small plates and free-flowing brunch cocktails for only $39. With all the incredible dishes on the menu, it’s hard to choose just a couple, which is why we compiled a list of our favorite things we tried. Take our advice, or leave it, but no matter what, Tamayo’s Bottomless Brunch is not something to miss.
The Guava Mimosa
What’s in it: Sparkling white wine and guava puree
Why you need to have it: This sweet and refreshing mimosa is the perfect way to kick-start your bottomless brunch. It also has a tangy kick making it perfect for any spicy dish.
Shrimp and Mahi Ceviche
What’s in it: cilantro serrano citrus broth, pickled red onions, spicy pumpkin seeds, roasted garlic oil
Why you need to have it: This is one of the lighter Antojitos (starters) on the menu. The ceviche has a very fresh and zesty taste. The flavors are all so unique and pair exquisitely together.
What’s in it: bacon-wrapped hot dog, chipotle rouille, pickled chiles, black bean puree
Why you need to have it: This is a fan favorite in the Tamayo community. For those hot dog lovers looking for an exciting re-vamp, this one is for you. There are so many bold flavors working together in this dish making it a must-try.
Chorizo Huarache Flatbread
What’s in it: chorizo & potato hash, onion, salsa verde, crema fresca, panela cheese
Why you need to have it: Everyone loves flatbread. It’s a great in-between courses dish because it’s not a huge portion, but is filling. The chorizo also has a spicy kick to it.
The Traditional Margarita
What’s in it: tequila blanco, citrus.
Why you need to have it: Whether you want it frozen or on the rocks, this Margarita is one of the best in Denver. Plus, aren’t Margaritas a must for Mexican food? This will help get you through your mid-meal coma!
Short Rib Flautas
What’s in it: slow braised short rib, molcajete sauce, horseradish cream, bean puree, cotija cheese
Why you need to have it: This is another fan favorite at Tamayo. The short rib is so tender that it falls apart in your mouth making you always want more. The Flautas are another great starter dish.
What’s in it: masa sope, poached egg, pork carnitas, avocado, salsa verde, poblano cream sauce
Why you need to have it: For those who love egg benedicts, this one is for you. The Tamayo Benedict has a special Mexican twist to it because it’s made on a Masa Sope, which is essentially a fried corn tortilla. This Especialidad (Chef’s Special) is a tasty, heavier dish that is definitely worth trying.
What’s in it: tortilla chips & scrambled eggs, tomatillo-pasilla sauce, smoked brisket, Mexican salsa, crema fresca
Why you need to have it: You won’t want to miss this Especialidad. The smoked brisket is cooked to perfection and is complimented beautifully by the other flavors in this dish. If you’re a fan of nachos with top notch ingredients and gorgeous presentation, you should try this.
What’s in it: Mexican French toast, chipotle-cajeta sauce, Nutella, bananas, crema fresca
Why you need to have it: After all of those savory dishes, it’s time for something sweet. Pan Dulce’s are typically simple Mexican pastries, but at Tamayo it is anything but basic. The Nutella, bananas and chipotle-cajeta sauce combo creates an explosion of flavors that will leave you wanting more.
What’s in it: vanilla crème anglaise
Why you need to have it: If you want something a little lighter to close out your meal, you can’t go wrong with Churros. Dipped in a light custard, this dessert is exceptional and addicting.
