Hot Stuff! Firefighter Chili Cookoff, Sept. 9

It’s going to be Hot! Hot! Hot! on Larimer Square on Friday, Sept. 9. Hundreds of Denver firefighters representing dozens of local and national firehouses will square off on the Square with their best red and green chili. The recipes of our City’s finest firemen and women are sure to set off three alarms!

With bowls of chilis being just a few bucks each and all proceeds going to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) you have no better choices and no better place to be for lunch that day. Come on down and enjoy the fun, the chili and the sights (you know you were thinking it!) for what has become a great annual tradition on Larimer Square. Last year, the firefighters raised more than $100,000 for MDA.

Larimer Street on the Square will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 14th Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for this fundraising event.
