Gustermans Honored at Employee Appreciation Week

Mary Eckels, owner and artist of Gusterman Silversmiths, was the recipient of the Commitment Legancy Award as part of the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Employee Appreciation Week last month.

“Since opening in 1964, Mary and her colleagues have continually produced innovative and timeless jewelry, as well as customized pieces for many of their patrons,” said Tammy Door, president and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership. “Mary’s store continues be an anchor in the constantly evolving, upbeat strip that is Larimer Square. Mary’s commitment to Larimer Square and to Downtown Denver is unquestionable, and we thank her for being a part of this community for the last 46 years.”

The Commitment Legacy Award was one of three awards the Partnership’s handed out on Monday, August 9  to kick-off Employee Appreciation Week. Ami Reis of Sage Oxford won the Customer Service Award and Alexis Boian of the Young Philanthropists Foundation won the Downtown Volunteer honors.
