Rioja to Host Six-Course Dinner for Haiti Relief

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010
Rioja chef Jennifer Jasinksi

Seven of the region’s top chefs will gather at Rioja on Larimer Square on Monday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m for a six-course, six-wine dinner benefiting PROJECT C.U.R.E. relief efforts in Haiti.

Participating chefs include:

  • Matt Anderson, Bistro Vendôme
  • John Broening, Duo and Olivéa
  • Jennifer Jasinski, Rioja (pictured right)
  • Yasmin Lozada-Hissom, Duo and Olivéa
  • Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, Frasca Food and Wine
  • Max Mackissock, The Squeaky Bean
  • Alex Seidel, Fruition
  • Each restaurant is contributing the cost of the course. The chefs and the staff at Rioja are donating their time. Cost of the dinner is $125 per person with 100 percent of the money going to PROJECT C.U.R.E. The goal is to raise the $16,000 that PROJECT C.U.R.E. needs to ship one container of desperately needed supplies to the earthquake-ravaged country. The first load of supplies destined for Haiti left PROJECT C.U.R.E. distribution center in Nashville on Jan. 15, just three days after the earthquake hit.

UPDATE: This event is sold out. Reservations can still be made by calling Rioja at 303.820.2282, but you will be placed on a waiting list.
